Find It Virginia Statistics Help

The information below will allow libraries to collect statistical data for their local use of resources provided through Find It Virginia.

Please note: Local statistics are not available for the following Find It Virginia resources: Accel5 Business Library.


Access Video Just for Kids

  1. Login to the Infobase admin portal (https://admin.infobase.com) with your admin credentials (contact Barry Trott, barry.trott@lva.virginia.gov or Nan Carmack, nan.carmack@lva.virginia.gov if you do not have login credentials)
  2. Click Reports
  3. Click Infobase Usage Report > Go to Report
  4. Set date parameters in Report Range popup window and click Run Report
  5. Report Views

Brainfuse

  1. Login to the Brainfuse (https://www.brainfuse.com/login) site with your admin credentials (contact Barry Trott, barry.trott@lva.virginia.gov or Nan Carmack, nan.carmack@lva.virginia.gov if you do not have login credentials)
  2. Click Legacy Usage Reports
  3. In the report window select the following options:
    1. Under the Home Menu, choose one of the three LVA-provided databases (HelpNow, JobNow, VetNow)
    2. Reporting period: choose the appropriate period
  4. Click Filter
  5. Get the Total Usage
  6. Repeat for other LVA-provided two databases
  7. Report the Total Usage for all three LVA-provided databases

Ebsco

  1. Login to the Ebsco Admin site (https://eadmin.ebscohost.com) with your admin credentials (contact Barry Trott, barry.trott@lva.virginia.gov or Nan Carmack, nan.carmack@lva.virginia.gov if you do not have login credentials)
  2. Click the Reports & Statistics tab
  3. Click Standard Reports
  4. In the report window select the following options:
    1. Under Filters, choose All Subscribed Databases and click Select/View
    2. In the selection window, click Remove All
    3. Use the search tool in the selection window to choose the LVA databases (as well as any other Ebsco content that your institution subscribes to on its own). When you find a database in the search results double click it to move it over to the filtered collection (on the right side of the window). The LVA databases to select are:
      • Masterfile Complete
      • Masterfile Reference eBook Collection
      • NoveList Plus
      • NoveList Plus K-8
      • Read It!
  5. Click Apply Changes
  6. Under Reporting Period set the appropriate date parameters
  7. Under Export choose Download
  8. Click Create Report for Download
  9. Click the Downloads tab
  10. Download the report as Excel
  11. Report the Total Requests for each resource

Gale (Legal Forms, Gale in Context: Elementary)

  1. Login to the Gale Usage Dashboard (https://support.gale.com/usagedashboard) using your institutional login and password (contact Barry Trott, barry.trott@lva.virginia.gov or Nan Carmack, nan.carmack@lva.virginia.gov if you do not have login credentials)
  2. Click the Reports tab
  3. Under Reports For FindItVirginia choose Products
  4. Under the Current Period heading set start and end dates
  5. Under the Metrics heading select Retrievals
  6. Click Apply
  7. Report retrievals for Legal Forms and Gale In Context: Elementary

Magzter

  1. Access the admin dashboard at https://librarian.magzter.com/ using the username and password sent to your library.
  2. If prompted, select your library from the library menu.
  3. Report the total usage for the desired reporting period.

Transparent Language Online

  1. Go to your library’s Transparent Language page
  2. Login with the admin user and p/w combination that was sent to your library
  3. Choose Admin Portal from the dropdown menu in the upper right of the page
  4. Choose the reports tab
  5. To create a report, click the Generate New link and choose the reports type (Summary Report will give you all the data you need for Bibliostat-level reporting)
  6. Set the date range for your report
  7. Leave the reporting group selections as they are set
  8. Report the Circulations figure

Universal Class (need to get stats from native Universal Class admin and Overdrive)

  1. Login to your library’s Universal Class admin page (if you need help with your account access, email dustin@universalclass.com)
    1. Click your library name under Site Management
    2. Click Site Reporting
    3. Set your date range
    4. Add totals for Courses Started, Lessons Viewed, Videos Watched, Student Submissions
  2. Overdrive
    1. Login into Overdrive Marketplace (https://marketplace.overdrive.com/) using your LVA login and password (contact Barry Trott, barry.trott@lva.virginia.gov or Nan Carmack, nan.carmack@lva.virginia.gov if you do not have login credentials)
    2. Go to Insights
    3. Click Checkouts
    4. Run new report with these parameters:
    5. Checkouts by month
    6. Format=Ext: Subscription
    7. Get total Universal Class use
  3. Add total from Universal class native (1.d.) and Overdrive (2.g.)
