Digital citizenship includes privacy, behaving ethically online, and being safe and responsible in digital environments. As facilitators of digital knowledge consumption and creation, librarians have a unique role to play in fostering digital citizenship among their users.

This informative program will share ideas for how librarians can encourage and promote digital citizenship, and provide recommendations for resources and community partners.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Attendees will identify what is included in the digital citizenship curriculum
  • Attendees will recognize resources and community partners they can leverage to promote digital citizenship
  • Attendees will generate ideas for encouraging digital citizenship in their library users
