Counting Black Communities: Census 2020 & Libraries

2020 is proving to be a pressing year in terms of civic engagement and equality. The decennial census will shape the country’s resource distribution and governance for the next 10 years. Now more than ever, libraries are needed to disrupt the longstanding trend of Black communities being undercounted. In this session, participants will learn about key library resources, ways of promoting a complete count, as well as the latest Census 2020 operations in the wake of COVID-19. Pt 1 of 3.
