Inclusive Services Training

Because public libraries are for everyone, we are pleased to begin a new series of self-paced challenges to equip Virginia library staff to serve all kinds of people. Each category will feature a series of activities with a culminating opportunity to receive a certificate of completion as well as other items, depending on the challenge. Activities will be added and announced at the beginning of each month.

Wheel Chair: March 1st is International Wheelchair Day.

Autism Spectrum Disorder:April is National Autism Awareness Month.

Communication: May is Better Speech and Hearing Month.

Alzheimer’s & Brain Injury<:  September is Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month.

Deaf/Hard of Hearing: September is Deaf Awareness Month.
